Effect of Straight, Inclined and Curved Fins on Natural Convection and Entropy Generation of a Nanofluid in a Square Cavity Influenced by a Magnetic Field

In this paper, the free convective heat transfer of nanofluids in a square cavity is simulated using numerical method. The angle could be changed horizontal axis from 0 to 90 degrees. exposed under constant magnetic field. Two opposite walls are cold and warm, rest insulated. On hot wall, there two fins with same wall temperature. equations were discretized by finite volume method (FVM) then solved SIMPLE algorithm. Three different fin configurations (straight, inclined curved) studied terms rate generation entropy. According simulation results, was improved tilting toward top or bottom cavity. At Ra = 105 Ha 20, maximum achieved at inclination 90° 45°, respectively, for straight curved fins. cavity, up 6.4% 4.9% warping them. Increasing Hartmann number 40 reduced Nusselt entropy 37.9% 33.8%, respectively.
